N.J. educators gain new teaching insights through training program

New Jersey educators are gaining a deeper understanding of teaching and learning by enrolling in graduate coursework through school-district partnerships with the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. Two teachers who recently completed the institute's science, technology, engineering and math program, funded through a National Science Foundation Grant, learned methods for engaging students in science. Afterward, they combined their third- and seventh-grade classes for a collaborative engineering lesson about water insulation.
