OSHA website promotes hospital worker safety

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration introduced on Thursday an online resource aimed at helping hospitals lower rates of work-related injuries. The Worker Safety in Hospitals: Caring for our Caregivers website features educational materials about workplace safety needs and how to avoid injuries. "The heart of these new materials are real life lessons from high-performing hospitals [that] have implemented best practices to reduce workplace injuries while also improving patient safety," OSHA's Dr. David Michaels said.
