Survey: Parents with kids under 18 more likely to own a smartphone

Nearly three-quarters of U.S. consumers with children under 18 have smartphones, which tops the 57% smartphone ownership rate for all U.S. consumers, according to survey commissioned by Scout GPS. The highest rate of ownership -- 84% -- was found among parents with children aged 3 to 5, and parents overall were also much more likely to own tablets.
