U.S. receives D+ grade in emergency medical care

The American College of Emergency Physicians gave the country an overall grade of D+, down from C- in 2009, in a report card assessing the emergency care environment. The report cited fewer hospital beds available, poor access to care and less federal funding for disaster preparedness.
