Library becomes first in NYC with LEED certification

The new Bronx library last week became the first building in New York City to receive LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The library's design incorporates eco-friendly features such as the use of natural sunlight, high-performance curtain walls and the use of environmentally-friendly and recycled materials.
