Al-Qaida-inspired militants surging in Lebanon

This week's attack on a U.S. embassy vehicle in Beirut was the latest sign that al-Qaida or militants influenced by the terrorist group rapidly are spreading their violent ways in Lebanon, analysts say. The group "is now unleashed in Lebanon and they are here to stay," said Ahmad Moussali, a professor at the American University of Beirut, warning al-Qaida wants to push the country back into civil war.
