Feds fine United for violating advertising rules

The Department of Transportation fined United Airlines $30,000 for breaking a rule on price advertising. The rules require airlines to disclose to consumers the full price of air travel. "Our fare advertising rules are designed to ensure that consumers know how much they will pay for a ticket and are able to compare prices when choosing which carrier to fly," said Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.
