Seattle Asian Art Museum merges old, new

The Seattle Asian Art Museum has two new exhibitions, "The New Old" and "The New New." The "old" is Chinese paintings and calligraphy, created between 1629 and 2007. The "new" is contemporary art, including digital photography and cigarette butts. The works show "an admirable commitment to bringing the past and present together," Gayle Clemans writes.
