Free clinic reduces ED use among Kansas City employees

Since Kansas City, Mo., began its Free Clinic and Wellness program for employees and retirees in 2010, trips to a hospital emergency department are down 8%. The clinic has had a 300% increase in patients in its first year and City Council member John Sharp said the program helps keep city health care rates low.
