Companies need to evaluate everything of value that they can offer workers and customize their incentive packages to accommodate the priorities of various employees, Joanne Sammer writes. This could mean rewarding younger workers with advancement opportunities and cash bonuses or allowing older workers to make discretionary retirement contributions. "By considering the entire employee value proposition, companies may find that some relatively easy and less expensive changes make a big impact," Sammer writes.
