World Bank slashes forecast for global growth to 2.5%

The World Bank cut its forecast for global economic growth this year from 3.6% to 2.5%. The bank revised its estimate for the U.S. economy from 2.9% to 2.2% growth. The eurozone forecast is for 0.3% contraction, compared with the 1.8% expansion previously predicted.
