Crabs can feel pain, study says

A study suggests that crabs can feel pain, and even take steps to avoid a repeat of the sensation. Researchers put shore crabs in a tank with two shelters, one that gave a mild electric shock. They found that the crabs would seek out the other shelter after receiving a shock in their first choice. The findings were published in the Journal of Experimental Biology.
