FAA looking at battery manufacturer for 787 fires

The Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing are studying batteries from the same batch as a possible cause of fires aboard the 787. The batteries were manufactured by a Japanese firm, GS Yuasa Corp. "Anything that involves the potential for fire on board an aircraft you've got to get to the bottom of and figure out what the corrective action is, and they will," said Marion Blakey, president of the Aerospace Industries Association.
