Growth seen for heads-up displays in autos

Harman International Industries and Texas Instruments were among the 2013 International CES exhibitors to show heads-up displays that could be projected on the windshields of vehicles, offering views from a backup camera. TI said its technology could first surface in 2015-model-year production vehicles. Strategy Analytics predicts heads-up displays for automotive electronics will enjoy a compound annual growth rate of 50% through 2018.
