Mayo Clinic, Optum to establish R&D facility

The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., has entered a partnership with health IT provider Optum to create a research and development center. Mayo scientists will use claims data from Optum Labs to study treatments for conditions including chronic myelogenous leukemia and to explore ways to improve the diagnosis of hepatitis C.
