More Ill. teachers becoming National Board Certified

Educators in Illinois looking for ways to improve their teaching increasingly are turning to National Board Certification. The number of accomplished teachers in the state has doubled in five years, and Illinois now has the third-most National Board Certified Teachers in the country. NBCTs in the state are eligible for salary increases and are classified as master teachers.
