Print may be newspapers' greatest feature, not their downfall

Print newspapers will continue to have a viable future, as long as people continue to value the superior qualities of print that allow readers to absorb information without the unavoidable distractions of reading on a screen, writes John Waters. Young people may well be better than their older counterparts at appreciating this, Waters observes. "Someone observed to me recently that, had we grown up with screen technologies, without ever reading from paper, we would be delighted by the invention of the newspaper and the book."
