New university offers unique approach to online model

A new university that offers a unique approach to online learning is the result of a partnership between the Minerva Project and California's Keck Graduate Institute. The new Minerva Schools of KGI, opening this fall, requires students to spend their first year living in a San Francisco residence hall, taking their courses online together in "real time." Throughout the following three years, students will be required to move to Minerva residence halls in other cities. "Experiential learning is all about interacting with the world around you," Minerva Project Chairman Ben Nelson said.
