AGC to urge new Congress to take action on immigration

The Associated General Contractors of America says it plans to press the new Congress on issues including changes in immigration and tax laws and allocating nearly $40 billion in federal highway spending. "We want to stop unscrupulous contractors that are gaming the system, exploiting workers and gaining an unfair advantage" by hiring undocumented workers, AGC CEO Stephen E. Sandherr said at a meeting in St. Louis.
