Microsoft shows off ad-research

The future of advertising is being imagined in Microsoft's adCenter Labs. One innovation is a camera mounted on an outdoor billboard that identifies the gender of passersby and changes advertising accordingly. Another innovation provides for the automated reading of online stories to make sure a marketer's ads aren't displayed next to offensive or inappropriate content.
