Report: Biotech crop plantings reach record worldwide

The International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-Biotech Applications reported a 13% increase in global biotech crop plantings last year from 2005, a record. Most of the 10.3 million farmers involved were subsistence farmers. Argentina, Brazil and the U.S. were the top three countries growing biotech crops, mostly soy.
