Study: World's education goal needs more commitment

Children's access to education worldwide has improved significantly over the last century, but the international community is falling behind in its goal of providing universal primary education by 2015, a U.S. study said Wednesday. The American Academy of Arts and Sciences said that 323 million children around the world were not in school and that universal education was possible but required more financial and political commitments.
