Bonuses approved to recruit more highly qualified teachers

The Siloam Springs (Ark.) School District's plan to offer increased teacher pay based on student performance was approved, and officials say it could help draw more highly qualified teachers to the area. Teachers overwhelmingly approved the performance pay plan, which could mean as much as $7,500 in bonuses for some teachers.
