Obama inauguration focus of classroom lessons, activities

Many teachers across the country will make sure their students are part of history Tuesday through classroom exercises and special projects focused on President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration. "Barack Obama has captivated Chicago students' interest in democracy," said Arne Duncan, the Chicago schools chief and Secretary of Education nominee. "As educators, we cannot let this teaching opportunity pass us by."
