Taking a flier on the hostel business

An entrepreneur can see opportunity where others see ... an eyesore. A Boeing 747 abandoned by its bankrupt owner has been transformed into Sweden's newest hostel, charging rates from $40 to $420 a night. With 3,800 square feet of floor space, the jumbo jet features 25 standard rooms, a cafeteria, a conference room and even a bridal suite. Entrepreneur Oscar Dios, who owns another hostel 20 miles away, insists this expensive idea will fly. "It's no kamikaze project," he says.
