Kansas legislator proposes reducing casino fees and costs

A Kansas lawmaker has proposed a bill that would lower the minimum investment for casinos in the Southeast Gaming Zone. The minimum investment would be $50 million instead of $225 million, with a privilege fee of $5.5 million instead of $25 million. The Kansas Lottery extended the application deadline to April 16 for a casino in the southeast corner of Kansas because it did not receive any proposals.
