Monsanto wins favorable ruling in contract dispute with DuPont

A U.S. district judge in St. Louis ruled that DuPont breached its licensing deal with Monsanto by incorporating its Optimum GAT gene into corn and soybean crops with Monsanto's Roundup Ready gene. The decision, however, provides DuPont with an option to sue Monsanto on allegations of antitrust violations in the contract.
