School autism specialist publishes guide for parents

Lynn Adams, a Georgia speech-language pathologist and autism specialist, hopes to assist parents of children who have autism with her new book, "Parenting on the Autism Spectrum: A Survival Guide." The book offers parents help in changing the way they respond to their children's behavior so that the children learn appropriate ways to get what they need. "She focuses on a lot of the difficult behaviors of autism, and she gets it," said an autism advocate who is an education specialist.
