How digital marketers will win the presidential election

Political campaigns are embracing digital marketing in a big way, and Google, Facebook and Twitter are vying to establish themselves as essential elements of campaigns' marketing strategies. Presidential campaigns are likely to set aside at least 10% of their total budgets for online marketing and could ultimately spend even more, analysts say. "It will be a seismic shift in terms of the amount of budgets these mediums are getting," says Chong + Koster managing partner Josh Koster.
