Special-education teacher shares perspectives on the job

Colorado special-education teacher Shirley Woods keeps extra school supplies on hand to help her students stay organized. She also uses a "learning-lab" approach to meet the diverse needs of all learners in her classroom. While watching students struggle is the most challenging part of her job, Woods shares that her motivation for becoming a teacher was to "make a difference in the lives of children."
