Small MDM vendors pick up where legacy players fail

Mobile security solutions do not go far enough in protecting users against cyberthreats, according to an expert who says vendor thinking has evolved to focus more on data protection and less on intrusion prevention. Peter Gibbons, head of information security at Network Rail, says the shortfall has provided an opportunity to small solutions providers to fill the niche in mobile device management software designed to handle an increase in mobile malware.
