University of Minnesota receives $28M for semiconductor research

Semiconductor Research awarded the University of Minnesota a $28 million grant toward research developing a line of semiconductors. The funds will support the university's Center for Spintronic Materials, Interfaces and Novel Architectures. The center was one of six lead research centers that received grants totaling $194 million from the corporation.
