Students create free cookbook during service-learning project

Students enrolled in the "Democracy in Action" class at U-32 High School in Montpelier, Vt., chose to study hunger as part of their service-learning project. Besides writing members of Congress, students published a free cookbook of healthy recipes that can feed a family of four for a week on $30. Students recently gathered to give away the cookbooks and collect money for the Vermont Food Bank.
