FDA changes format of prescription drug labels

The FDA has adopted new requirements governing prescription drug labels as part of an effort to allow physicians and patients easier access to information about medicines. In addition to reorganizing the format of package inserts, the FDA changes also include the creation of a database so consumers can search for drug information online.
