Report praises Nevada's workers' comp system

A report by the Workers' Compensation Research Institute found Nevada's workers' compensation system has become more competitive and allowed private insurers to enter the market since 1993. The report cited the system's strengths, including "an agency active in educating system participants." However, some participants remain concerned about rising medical costs and the inability to settle claims via compromise, among other things.
