Atlanta occupancies fizzle in November to lowest rate since at least '88

Hotels in Atlanta saw occupancy rates take a 10.8% dive in November to just 51.4%, the lowest occupancy rate for the month of November since Smith Travel Research started tracking the area's occupancy rates in 1988. The area's occupancy was down 6.5% from January through November, which is more dismal than the national average -- a decline of 4.5% -- during the same period.
