New Alabama autism school to open in August

A new school for 6- to 10-year-olds with autism will open in the Mobile, Ala., area, thanks in part to a new group that aims to improve access to autism services. The Alabama Autism Providers Network brings together educators with rehabilitation, employment and mental-health experts in an attempt to coordinate services and share effective techniques for working with people with autism.
