Tax proposals left over from 2008 likely to return

Several important proposed changes in U.S. tax laws were pushed aside when Congress was forced to repeatedly deal with the economic crisis in 2008, but this unfinished business is likely to be debated again in 2009. Among the proposals left over from last year are the repeal or revision of the alternative minimum tax, what to do about expiring tax provisions and the repeal or amendment of the estate tax.
