Amazon urges FCC to let Web service providers prioritize traffic

Amazon, in a filing with the FCC on net neutrality, asked that Internet service providers be allowed to prioritize Web traffic, favoring some content if the move does not hinder other content or services. Amazon is one of the only "edge" providers -- content and service providers operating on broadband networks without running the networks themselves -- to support traffic prioritization.
