Hotel fees that "must die"

In a buyers' market, hoteliers looking to truly make guests happy may want to consider removing annoying surcharges. One columnist's list of "five hotel fees that must die" includes resort fees; fees for furniture, such as a safe; concierge, bellhop and housecleaning fees; "way-out-there" fees, such as an air-conditioning fee; and fees that he says should be illegal, such as an "energy fee," charged recently at two Arizona hotels.
