Medical residents' long hours lead to medical errors

Medical residents at New York City hospitals frequently work long hours beyond what regulations allow and make mistakes because they are exhausted, according to a New York Post report. Dr. Charles Czeisler of Harvard Medical School said one in five residents admits to making a fatigue-related mistake and one in 20 said they made a mistake that resulted in a patient's death.
