PowerShares is looking to launch 10 small-capitalization exchange-traded funds linked to Global Industry Classification Standard sectors within the Standard & Poor's SmallCap 600 Index. The series of ETFs would focus on U.S. firms with a market capitalization of between $250 million and $1.2 billion. Public investors must own at least 50% of a company for it to be considered for investment. Invesco PowerShares Capital Management would be the adviser for the ETFs.
