Universal moves ahead with plan for $2.7B theme park in South Korea

Universal Studios has signed a contract to build a $2.7 billion theme park in South Korea after plans had stalled for two years because of a lack of funding. The project, Universal Studios' third and largest in Asia, is moving forward after financing was secured from the Lotte Group, the operator of South Korea's second-largest retailer. POSCO Engineering & Construction is set to begin construction next year.
