Boeing may be close to nabbing top jet-maker spot in 2012

Although Airbus outpaced Boeing in terms of number of jets sold and delivered in 2011, Boeing delivered a much larger share of more valuable jumbojets that indicate it may be on track to take the top jet-maker spot in 2012. A Seattle Times analysis estimates that Boeing took in $33 billion in revenue last year, compared with Airbus' $32 billion even though Airbus outsold Boeing by $4 billion.
