Manufacturing increases in December, drives recovery

Factory production is helping drive the recovery of the U.S. economy. The Federal Reserve said manufacturing increased 0.9% from November to December, the largest monthly gain in nearly a year. Signs indicate "that manufacturing in the U.S. is gaining global market share, and this could be an important dynamic supporting growth in 2012," said John Ryding of RDQ Economics.
