Study looks at CGM efficacy in young diabetes patients

A study in Diabetes Care revealed that only 19% of type 1 diabetes patients ages 4 to 9 who used continuous glucose monitoring devices reduced HbA1C by at least 0.5% without any episodes of severe hypoglycemia, compared with 28% in the control group. Researchers also found that only 41% of patients used the devices for an average of six days per week by the end of the 26-week study.
