The lack of females in the IT industry, specifically in the entrepreneur ranks of Silicon Valley, can be directly linked to a lack of role models and fewer funding options for women, writes Vivek Wadhwa. Research shows that women-led startups have lower failure rates and annual revenues that are 12% higher than those run by men, Wadhwa writes.
