Cities should use past lessons to move toward sustainable future

Kenyan architect Antony Kisilo looks at the future of sustainable cities and contends that as we create them, we should "look back one hundred years to learn from our predecessors." The old "mundane solutions," such as use of rammed earth and natural materials and rainwater capture, are passive solutions we could improve upon to lessen our dependence on "power-hungry" technologies, he argues.
