British official: Muslim schools not helping students fit into society

A forthcoming report from the Office for Standards in Education says that the 100 or so independent Muslim schools in Britain must revise their curriculum to promote tolerance for other cultures and provide a general knowledge of public institutions and services in England. On Monday, Chief Inspector of Schools David Bell expressed fear that the faith-based schools could threaten community cohesion, which angered many British Muslims.
