Boeing to lay off some workers amid defense cuts

Budget cuts and program delays will push Boeing to lay off some workers at its Wichita, Kan., military plant. Boeing said it will continue to monitor the defense budget closely. "This is a situation that could have an impact on our employment levels as the year progresses," said Derek McLuckey, general manager of Boeing's Integrated Defense Systems in Wichita.
